About this place
Savoring neatly arranged nigiri over a cup of green tea or a cold beer captures the simple charm of a classic neighborhood sushi parlor. Located in Higashi-Oi, Shinagawa Ward, Fuki Sushi offers a down-to-earth atmosphere where solo diners and small parties can drop by without hesitation.
At the core of the menu is nigiri sushi, available as assorted platters that showcase rich cuts like fatty tuna (otoro) alongside lean tuna, or ordered piece by piece to suit your appetite. Those looking for a more substantial rice bowl can turn to reliable options such as the red-tuna tekkadon, medium chirashi, or deluxe tokujo chirashi.
A wide selection of humble rolls also keeps regular visits easygoing, including thick futomaki, seasoned gourd (kanpyo), cucumber (kappa), pickled vegetables, fermented soybean (natto), burdock root, and sour plum with shiso. For a lingering evening accompanied by drinks, you can start with a la carte dishes like sashimi platters or grilled fish, paired with sweet potato shochu or a glass of white wine.
The shop operates for both lunch and dinner, offering table seating as well as takeout. Seating capacity is limited, making it wise to consider booking ahead if you plan to visit in a group of 3 or more. Note that payment is cash only.
